Advanced Survival
February 6th-8th, 2026
Location: Camp Edward - Snohomish, WA
What is Advanced Survival?
Advanced Survival takes Fall and Spring Survival to the next level. It’s a trip full of teamwork, advanced outdoor education, and extreme fun! You'll spend two nights in the woods building fires, making friends, playing games, and developing your wilderness knowledge. “Advanced” refers to the fact that the skills you learn will be higher level than those on Fall or Spring Survival, such as wilderness shelter building for the second night (no tarp!). However, this doesn’t mean you need to have previous experience with Post or camping to attend. All skills that you will need to know will be taught through hands-on stations. Can't wait to see you in the woods!
Other Trip Details:
Trip size: 35 campers, 32 staff, 8 adult chaperones

Trip length: three-days, two-nights
Campers phones will be taken away at the start of the trip, stored safely, and given back at the end

FAQs
-
For Advanced Survival, priority is given to campers who have the least amount of previous camping experience. The rest of the spots will be filled by lottery selection. As an organization, we want to give experiences to as many new campers as possible.
-
Advanced Survival is located at Camp Edward, so service may be spotty or nonexistent at times. Given this, we still encourage limiting phone usage to necessary contact with parents/guardians. This is in an effort to prioritize engagement with peers and the outdoors. Campers are also welcome to leave their devices at home.
-
Refer to our Emergency Response Plan, which our trip lead and adult directors have carefully created to ensure safety protocols for any situation. If you have any questions about our safety protocols, please reach out to our trip lead Josh Miovic at advanced@post84.org
